Day of Silence
For anyone supporting the day of silence, or anyone curious about it…
I really hope that tomorrow can be a day of respect and well… of silence…
For those who don’t know what tomorrow is, check out dayofsilence.org. Basically, teens around America today are being silenced, to make a movement for bullied kids who do not speak out for themselves. Tomorrow, instead of receiving a lecture on equality by the GSA or diversity, you will hopefully be impacted by something much stronger… silence. Please, whether you support or are against gay marriage, whether you support diversity or not, and whether you choose to be silent or not… take the time to respect what’s happening right under your noses. It is our generation’s responsibility to stop bullying, especially in schools, (because we all know that “telling” won’t stop this…) and it’s our actions that pressure kids into suicide and self-harm. No matter your sexuality, religion, ethnicity, or political views… I’m sure you don’t support harassment, and even suicide. Please think before you speak, and be mindful of what’s going on tomorrow.
Thank you :)
